Role-Play in Teaching Literature free essay sample

This proposition contemplates Role-play as a methodology in improving progressed learners’ cognizance of English and American short stories. Basically set in Literature classes of Foreign Language Faculty of UTE the examination utilizes both experiential and test strategies. The primary part of the proposal presents a few factors that may influence the investigation, determines the issues and points of the examination, and quickly portrays the approach. 1. 1Background of the Study Literature is an extremely flexible subject and is commonly viewed as one of the most troublesome subjects to instruct and to study.Studying local writing in local language isn't simple in any way; it can not be contrasted and examining outside writing in unknown dialect. Considering American and British writing is an incredibly troublesome errand which face numerous Vietnamese understudies. Understanding abstract language requires a greater number of endeavors than doing with communicated in language. Accordingly, writing subject is frequently in the rundown of the most unfavourite subjects. We will compose a custom paper test on Pretend in Teaching Literature or on the other hand any comparable subject explicitly for you Don't WasteYour Time Recruit WRITER Just 13.90/page When being gotten some information about their thought toward the subject toward the start of the course, the understudies didn't hide their negative demeanor toward writing subject. They accepted that considering writing was exhausting; they steadily lost the feeling of joy and delight that went with the investigation of writing. Their clarification was established from the secondary educational time when they contemplated Vietnamese writing with dread or alarm; in like manner, English writing at college isn't an exemption. To address this marvel, the issues in contemplating and encouraging English writing might be recorded as follows. The main issue is students’ absence of clear objective and objectives.Undoubtedly, if an understudy doesn't have the foggiest idea about the points of examining writing, the person will most likely not get the joy or fulfillment in writing. Various understudies guarantee that writing is futile in their every day life, and that they can't utilize artistic language in both day by day and working correspondences. Nonetheless, writing clearly assumes an unavoidable job which is guaranteed by Maxim Gorky, the renowned Russian es sayist: The point of writing is to help man to get himself, to reinforce the trust in himself, and to create in him the endeavoring toward truth; it is to battle unpleasantness in eople, to figure out how to locate the positive qualities in them, to conscious in their spirits disgrace, outrage, boldness; to do all together that man ought to turn out to be respectably solid. In this manner, the teacher’s obligation is to introduce the reasonable and down to earth destinations toward the start of the course and the learning points in every exercise. The subsequent issue might be accused on the dissymmetry between the troublesome language in artistic works, particularly of early English and students’ low degree of English.Unique scholarly words, otherworldly thoughts, or irregular composing styles are some perceptible impediments to students’ comprehension and enthusiasm for writing or verse. Picking a perfect work of art novel to educate is certainly not an issue yet making the students ace its substance, which means and particularly complex gadgets is a very extraordinary story. Because of the investigation timetable limitation understudies can't be required to peruse the entire novel and examine it in under seven days. Thusly, a short story ought to be utilized rather than a novel.Last yet not least, the most significant reason to t he students’ weariness is the educating strategy. A contemplative class environment and aloof and drowsy understudies are completely accused on two persistent hours or a greater amount of tuning in to the addressing in non-local language. Understudies sit latently attempting to battle against drowsiness so as to observe each word transmitted to their ears. They don't trigger their brain by any means; they acknowledge all suppositions about the characters, topics, etc introduced by the educator as though they were certain facts. As an outcome, understudies don't take an interest during the time spent comprehension and assessing characters’ brain science and afterward allude the work to their genuine circumstances. The entirety of the above issues can be settled just when the writing encouraging methodology is changed in a positive manner. This implies understudies will be engaged with the exercise, looking through an approach to comprehend the significance of the story without anyone else. The educator assumes the job of a faci litator who guides understudies to an exhaustive and right perception. In view of this order, the educator can initiate understudies by applying Role-play approach.Role-play approach in which understudies are doled out specific jobs to act can upgrade students’ appreciation of writing writings just as their enthusiasm for considering writing. Anyway the valid statements of Role-play approach in showing writing should be checked by an exploration. The discoveries of the examination will help writing instructors to choose to what degree or whether Role-play approach ought to be applied. Besides, the discoveries will be the responses to the issues above and carry joy to English writing classes.

Company Law Problem Question - Free Essay Example

Coursework Question Fred and Anne have been operating in partnership for several years, running a business that renovates flats for rental. Occasionally Fred, who is responsible for repairs, has failed to get urgent repairs carried out when they are notified by tenants. One of the tenants, Lisa, has announced that she intends to raise a legal action against Fred, Anne and the partnership on the ground that the floor of her living room was allowed to become rotten and she fell through it and injured her leg. Inspection confirms the floor is rotten, and Lisa has evidence that she notified this to Fred many months earlier. When Fred heard about this legal action, and in an effort to escape liability, he immediately gave notice to Anne that he wished to terminate the partnership. Anne says that the problem was Fred’s fault and she and the partnership are therefore not liable. Anne spends a lot of her time at social functions where she does a lot of networking. Re cently she heard about an opportunity to purchase a building for conversion to flats. Anne then immediately formed a private company, Cheap and Cheerful Ltd, with her husband as the sole shareholder and director, and without Anne saying anything to Fred, Cheap and Cheerful Ltd has now bought this building at a good price and renovated it and has let it at a good profit. Much later, Fred has found out about this and wishes to make a legal challenge. For his next venture, Fred is wondering whether a private limited company would be a safer business vehicle than a partnership, for a flat renovation business, and would welcome information on how to form such a company. Advise Fred and Anne on all the legal issues relating to the law of partnership and company law that arise in this question. Answer: Partnership according to the Partnership Act of 1890(S.1) is the relationship that subsists between the partners carrying out the business with the view of profit. ‘A partn ership arises when a number of individuals are in business together, rather than in an employer-employee relationship. The legislation governing partnerships is the Partnership Act 1890.’ (Rati Shah MBE, 2011) Here, we see that Fred and Anne have been engaged in a partnership for many years. They run a business of renovating flats to be given on rent to the people. Fred being the partner in the business would usually take up the responsibility to do the repairs in the rented flats, if any. But he failed to make the urgent repairs when notified by the tenants. Lisa, being one such tenant, said that she would file a case against Fred, Anne, and the Partnership for not fulfilling their responsibility of making the repairs on the floor of her house which was rotten and due to which she fell and injured herself. Fred sent a letter to Anne to terminate the partnership (because he didn’t want to face the liability all by himself). Anne clearly told that the fault lies in t he hands of Fred and that neither the partnership nor she herself can be held liable. Anne later started off a private company, Cheap and Cheerful Ltd. with her husband. Without informing Fred about the new company, Anne through Cheap and Cheerful Ltd has now bought this building at a good price and renovated it and has let it at a good profit. Fred wants to make a legal challenge against Anne. He is also confused as to which would be a safer form of business for his next venture. A partnership or a private limited company? Well, there are many differences between a partnership and a private limited company. A company has more complexity in its structure when compared to a partnership. More people are involved in the decision making process. The shareholders decide as to how they can manage and run the company. Where as in the partnership, the whole business including the liabilities and profits are shared among the two or more partners of the partnership firm and its structur e is simple. In a partnership, the partners are held legally responsible for all the debts and liabilities of the firm. On the other hand, in a company, the shareholders are not held accountable for the company’s debts. The company is a separate legal entity. Thus it holds itself liable for all the legal fees and the shareholders of the company are not jeopardy of losing their assets. A company is an artificial person. This makes the company in a position to make legal actions for and against those making legal actions in favor of or otherwise of the company. While, partnership isn’t considered to be a legal person and the partners own the properties of the firm and will be held liable for all the actions undertaken by the firm. The liabilities of the shareholders in a company are limited only to the extent of the shares that he holds. While in the case of partnership, the partners liabilities in unlimited. That is the reason why the partners’ personal assets ca n be taken to pay off the liabilities and debts of the partnership firm. Insolvencies of the company do not make the members of the company insolvent. But in a partnership, if the firm is insolvent, the partners are also considered insolvent. Partnership has lesser formalities and is simple. Whereas, a company is more formal and complex. Like for example, when a company is to be dissolved, strict formal rules are to be heeded while in the case of a partnership, dissolution can take place even by mutual consent. There is a Board of Directors who is elected by the shareholders of the company. But in a partnership, it is different. The firm is looked after by one or a group or by all the partners of the firm. No election takes place. Perpetual succession is present in a company. This means that if a shareholder of a company passes away or is considered insolvent, the company doesn’t cease to exist. It continues. This is in contrast to a partnership firm where if a partner dies o r is considered insolvent, the partnership ends and there is no such perpetual succession. For a company to come into existence, it has to get registered with the Companies Act, 1956. But in a partnership, that isn’t necessary. In a company there must be a minimum of two members (in a private company) and seven members (in case of a public company). But in a partnership there is a need of only two partners. In a public company the maximum number of members can be infinite and in a private company, they can have not more than fifty members. Contrastingly, in a partnership, the maximum number of members is twenty in a trading firm and ten in a banking firm. A shareholder in a company can transfer his shares but a partner can’t transfer his part of the shares without the assent of the other partners of the firm. In a partnership, the profits can be distributed equally or in proportions decided by the partners but in a company, the profits are distributed on the basis of t he articles provided by the directors. Auditing plays a vital role in a company. But it is not necessary in a partnership. One the basis of the above differences between a private limited company and a partnership, I would advice Fred that a private limited company would be safer to be established for his next venture. They can start their business as soon as they receive the Certificate of Incorporation. There is no requirement of a minimum capital. A private limited company needs only a single director even though more can be elected. But, it is not allowed to have its shares listed on the Stock Exchange. It has lesser obligatory official procedures. All these make a private limited company more advantageous than a partnership firm. Especially when it is a flat renovation business, the risks can be minimized as formalities are less and the liabilities are only to the extent of shares held by the member(s). Excellent identification of relevant facts, making assumptions where appropriate and application of relevant law, covering all legal issues. Excellent use of primary and secondary sources (primary: statutes, cases, secondary: textbooks, journal articles) Answer is well structured with a clear introduction and conclusion, and logical development of argument.

Reflection Of Nepantla - 1048 Words

This new way of thinking that Gutià ©rrez conveys the readers to this idea about Nepantla and conocimiento which she drew upon from writing by Gloria Anzalda. Conocimiento has multiple meanings in Spanish, but can be translated into knowledge, having a connection with others, and â€Å"in solidarity† (Gutià ©rrez 2012). She also presents the idea of existing in a state of Nepantla, which she described as a space with no solid ground, an uncomfortable state, and a new way of asking questions or approaching something (Gutià ©rrez 2012). I found this new idea compelling and an interesting new lens adapted to the idea of equity. The article discusses Nepantla as a state or something that can occur in phases. If researchers hope to see changes and evolution through their work application needs to be accessible. The largest argument that is made during this article is the awareness of identity and power and the role that it plays within the field and in the classroom. Gutià ©rrez goes into detail about the variety of ways that identity and power and defined and used within the schools and mathematics educational research. Gutià ©rrez presents the argument that identity is only used as an identification marker but should be replaced with the notion of looking at identity as something you do not something that you are (Gutià ©rrez 2013). Adopting a sociopolitical stance would give a new lens to these ideas and the role that they play for our students in the classroom. She presses researchers as well along the idea of how researchers use identity and the role it plays and wh at purpose do they serve as the term is continually used within piece of work. Questions: 1. Summarizes the literature support for the project? 2. Discusses the findings trustworthiness and validity? 3. Identifies any conflicts, gaps, and over conclusions from the findings? 4. Discusses legal and ethical issues relevant to the articles or research topic? 5. Identifies the findings applicability to the clinical issue or topic with regard to policy, procedure, guideline, or protocol procedure that promotes an evidence-based practice change? Answers: Introduction This projects aims to develop a content outline of the provided clinical issue that is stroke. It will shed light on the importance of early recognization and treatment of the stroke. It will focus on a interview conducted for the carer in which it will discuss about the changing life of carer when their family members were affected by stroke. Lastly it discuss about the issues and the new technology that helps in assessing stroke. 1. Summary of the Literature Support In clinical article issue Clements, Hamilton, Johnson and Mujhtaba, in 2015 said stroke is a 2nd leading reason of death for industrial nations and a leading cause of disability in adult. According to this study, the major cause of stroke is lack of recognization of the symptoms and lack of proper assessment of the patients. Ischemic strokes are caused due to the blockage or in arteries that connect the brain. Patients with stroke were administered with t-PA within 60 minutes of their admission. Patients with symptoms like weakness, dizziness, sensory loss etc were diagnosed with acute posterior stroke( National Stroke Association, 2015). The most useful tools for assessing the stroke are NIHSS and FAST (Gulli Markus, 2012). Cecil, R., Thompson, K., Parahoo, K., McCaughan, E in 2013 in a journal of Advanced nursing states that there is a change in life of carer after their families are affected by stroke. Based on three broad categories the interview was conducted for the carers. First was about the impact of the stroke event on carer, the extrinsic factors that support the scenario of caring, and the factors, which help in coping the new role. These were further divided into 9 thematic areas changes to lifestyle such as worries and concerns, family support etc. Haley, W., Roth, D., Kissela, B., Perkins, M., Howard, G., in 2011, in a research article quality of life researches states that the point of the study is to evaluate the life after a stroke Harrison, J. K., McArthur, K. S., Quinn, T. J, in 2013 in article of Clinical Interventions in Aging states that utilization of an assessment tools and knowing the assessment scale can recognize strokes, which is useful for early treatment. Rubin, M. N., Fugate, J. E., Rabinstein, A., Flemming, K, 2015 in a journal, An acute stroke evaluation app: a practice improvement project states that adaptation and application of new technology like few apps in phones and computers for improvement of the treatment 2. Findings Trustworthyness and Validity From the above literature reviews, it was found that most of the patients identified with stroke on their admission were misdiagnosed. FAST assessment fails to diagnose the patients who are suffering from posterior fossa strokes. NIHSS and FAST that assesses motor function but may not detect the main signs of posterior stroke and often leads to misdiagnosis. Early recognization of symptoms, treatment reduces stroke, and it is an important way to reduce long-term effects on family and patients. Using effective assessment tools for detecting strokes help the caregivers (Clements,S et al). The main concern for caregiver was reoccurrence of the stroke or illness or further injury of their loved ones. The study emphasis that the stroke victims caregivers have negative impact by the experience and it is important for the nurse to cope with both the caregivers and stroke victims (Cecil,R et al,2013).. Results showed that the persons who are staying alone, Americans-Africans have a have a higher risk of low quality life, and depression (Harley,W et al., 2013) Application of new technologies results in fast detection and the treatment can be faster (Rubin, M. N,2015) . 3. Gaps and Conflicts In the above study, it was observed that most of the patients admitted with stroke diagnosis were diagnosed wrongly. This leads to failing of treatment of patients under the CMS and TJC guidelines and have a poor outcome ( Merwick, Werring, 2014). FAST assessment for the stroke patients fails to assess posterior fossa strokes, especially those who are suffering from visual disturbance and ataxia (Huwez Casswell, 2013). Wrong diagnosis leads to wrong treatment. NIHSS sometimes cannot detect all the symptoms of strokes and score 0, despite of having stroke. This leads to misleading of diagnosis and treatment (Kwah Diong, 2014) In the study of exploring carer for stroke patients data collection, it failed to include both the genders in equal amount. New technologies were used to assess the stroke but it needs more research for more improvement of detection of stroke. 4. Ethical And Legal Issues As in the above research studies many ethical and legal issues arises such as after the admission of the patient in the hospitals and misdiagnosis is leading to wrong treatment for strokes even many nontraditional strokes are misdiagnosed as strokes which all raises ethical issues. 5. Policy, guideline, procedure, protocol Qualitative descriptive METHOD Collection of data from the carers who participated 27 women and 7 men were done. Consent of carer was taken. Procedure- An interview was conducted based on three broad categories, Impact of stroke Extrinsic factors which support the carer Intrinsic factors which helps in coping the new role These categories were further divided into 9 thematic areas It was observed that major concern of the carer was reoccurrence of stroke or any other injury among the family members of the carer. This study gave an view of how the carer of stroke patients were impacted negatively by the experience (Cecil,R et al,2013). And it also concluded that the nurses shouLd be well versed with the methologies of coping both the patient as weel as the carer Conclusion From the above review literature study, we can conclude that proper assessment tool usage reduces the time as well as helps in early treatment of the stroke patient. The nurses must have a proper training for learning the assessment techniques as well as they must be well versed with the newer application of computer and mobile phone, for fast detection of the stroke. We must not forget that prevention is better than cure and early detection of the stroke may give life to many people if properly diagnosed and treated. Reference Kwah, L., Diong, J. (2014).
